Recent victories for Angstman Law Office

Angstman Law Office was on the winning side of a recent Bethel jury verdict. Myron Angstman represented a Bethel police officer in a case concerning the use of a taser gun. The jury found that our client did not use excessive force, and awarded no damages. There have been several recent settlements. The most recent involved a car accident in Bethel, where our client received about $80,000 for his injuries. Another Bethel client received $200,000 for injuries suffered in a sexual assault, and a Teller girl received $75,000 for injuries suffered in a ski accident. Two airplane incidents resulted in recoveries as well. A crash in Wales and a runway incident in Kotzebue each produced a settlement for our clients of about $100,000. Finally, a playground accident in Manakotak resulted in a $200,000 settlement for a young girl who lost part of a finger in a fall.

Andy finishes Iditarod

Andy has returned from the Iditarod, the warm weather has arrived, and we are catching up on things around the office after a hectic March. Andy’s race was a good one, despite a rocky start in the Alaska Range. He had several runs which were among the fastest recorded this year from checkpoint to checkpoint. After the halfway point, his time was among the top 30, and second fastest among the rookies. He says he plans to run again, even though this year’s trail was one of the worst ever. Our thanks to the many fans who posted messages on this site for Andy, and for countless other kinds of support. His finish, at 4:15 am in Nome, was memorable, and we hope to post the video on this site soon, along with some photos. Keep an eye on k300.org for results of Bethel area races.
